On April 16, 2007 a lone gunmen walked into two buildings on the campus of Virginia Tech and opened fire killing 32 students and faculty. Surely this was a tragic day in the life of these students, friends and family. My daughter lost a friend that day (Lauren McCain of Hampton, Va.). As Christians we ought to have a ready answer for this seemingly senseless act of violence, one that has burned into the souls of many in Virginia and across this nation. As God's people we should be seeing this event, as painful as it is, through the lens of God's Word. Therefore, at 4 PM today I will be doing a LIVE podcast to discuss this event and I encourage my readers to listen in at that time.
If you are interested in tuning in to listen live simply go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/TheParchment and clicking the Listen Live link at the top of the page at 4 PM EDT. Also, if you want to call into the show you may do so by dialing (718) 664-9766. The program will be archived at the end of the program and available under the "podcasts" menu item at the top of this page. I would love to interact live with my readers and listeners on this tragedy in the life of this school and country.
My God be honored and glorified through this tragedy and may God bring many to Himself through this senseless act of violence.
