On Wednesday of last week my dear mother fell on my parents boat in Cape Vincent, New York and broke her femur bone. As a result she was hospitalized in Watertown, New York and underwent a 2.5 hour long surgery to repair the break. A 10 inch rod was placed in my mother's leg during the procedure. Last night my father contacted me to let me know that my mother underwent a CAT scan and they found a blood clot in her lung. She is currently on blood thinners to relieve the problem but the next few days will tell the tale as far as that is concerned. I did speak with my Dad this morning and he informed me that she may be coming home tomorrow or Thursday so that is good news.
