I have returned from my trip to New York City and my visit to Yankee Stadium. It was a great time with great conversation with my travelling friend, Charlie Kim. Although the conversation of the day on Tuesday was whether the rain would end in time for the game we also enjoyed other topics of conversation. The rain did finally end about 45 minutes before game time and we were able to see the game. The Yanks got crushed by the visiting Orioles 12-2. Actually, the game was over in the first inning when Baltimore scored 7 runs (only one earned). We did get to see Alex Rodriguez hammer a homer over the left center field wall and we got to see Mariano Riviera pitch in the 9th inning. Adding to the fun was a late game brawl that broke out after the Yanks pitcher almost beaned an Oriole batter. Bedlam in the Bronx!
Although the Yanks lost the trip was great fun. More pictures can be found at The Parchment Photo Gallery.
