The Most Rev. Dr. Christian Ekong, National President/Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Nigeria has urged Christians in the Country to choose right and correctly their leaders in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
Most Rev. Dr. Ekong while giving his homily at the 2022 Cross River South Diocesan Convention of the Church, stressed that those seeking political offices in the country will not tell Nigerians their weaknesses but will always promise what they cannot fulfill when elected.
Dr. Ekong who took his text from Deut. 30:15-20, stated that just as Moses gathered the children of Israel to remind them where they are going, he emphasized the choices available and asked them to choose life and live.
He therefore, advised Christians to chose life and live by ensuring that they chose leaders based on their conscience in forthcoming elections for the future of Nigeria, praying for peace and stability in this political season.
