A final year student in the University of Calabar has survived a ghastly motor accident in Calabar, Cross River State.

The accident happened today  very close to the Garment factory along the by-bass road.

Ekong Emmanuel, who is a final year student in the University of Calabar and studying statistics said, he was alone inside the vehicle when the accident happened, but could not explain exactly how it happened.

“I was alone inside the vehicle driving home after my classes today. I was not even on speed so I am really surprised. Suddenly, I realized that the vehicle began to tumble for three times before stopping. What I can say is to thank God for saving me” he told our eye witness reporter.

At the time of this report, the gold coloured Toyota Camry, which was badly damaged was being towed to a nearby workshop.

Some security and staff of the Ayade Industrial Park, located just opposite the garment factory, expressed concern over frequent accident on the road attributing it to ‘something beyong the ordinary’

“This is what we see along this road every other time. The other day, a vehicle hit a fence of the industrial park and the person was asked to fix the fence. At another time it was a woman driving right into a ditch and it took so much to bring her out. We believe that this cannot be ordinary “
