The Management of the University of Calabar, Cross River State, has expelled Chuwuemeka, Victory with Reg. No.: 2024402053132F of the Department of Public Health for phone theft.

In a letter signed by the university registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Chukwuka I. Icha, dated May 14, 2025 and addressed to Victory, the university said Vice Chancellor has received the report of the Senate Students Disciplinary Committee (SSDC), which investigated an alleged case of Phone Theft during the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

“Arising from the above, Senate has approved the recommendation of Senate Students Disciplinary Committee (SSDC) that you be expelled from the University for Phone Theft.

“You are hereby expelled from the University of Calabar with effect from 2023/2024 academic session.

“The Provost, College of Medical Sciences, Head, Department of Medicine and Surgery and the Chief Security Oficer are to ensure full compliance with this directive.” The statement added.
