The National Board for Technical Education has granted accreditation and approval to 19 academic programmes in the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom State for 2025/2026 sessions.
In a letter signed by Dr. (Mrs) Fatima Kabir Umar, Director, (Polytechnic Programmes Department) for the Executive Secretary NBTE, the Commission conveyed the outcome of the comprehensive accreditation exercise carried out by the Board to your institution from 6th to 9th May, 2025 to the addressed to the Rector of the Institution, Mrs Eduma Essien.
The letters read in parts “With reference to the Accreditation Visitations carried out by the Board to your institution from 6th to 9th May, 2025, I am directed to inform you that the Board has approved the Accreditation of the following programmes offered by your institution for a period of five (5) years with effect from 2025/2026 session” and “ With reference to the Resources Inspection Visitations carried out by the Board to your institution from 6th to 8th May, 2025, I am directed to inform you that the Board has granted approval to your institution to offer the following programmes with effect from 2025/2026 session” respectively.
The accredited programmes include HND Statistics, HND Computer Networks and Cloud Computing and HND Software and Web Development
Others are ND Accountancy, ND Business Administration and Management, ND Civil Engineering Technology, ND Electronic and Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, ND Quantity Survey, ND Architectural Technology and ND Urban and Regional Planning.
ND Library and Information Science, ND Mechanical Engineering Technology, ND Banking and Finance, ND Public Administration, ND Mass Communication, Environmental Science and Management Technology and ND Office Technology Management.
The accreditation and approval status indicates that those programmes will run for five (5) years before another accreditation exercise would be carried out by NBTE.
