Aftermath Of Party primaries: APC Stakeholders In Calabar South Hold Reconciliatory Meeting.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Calabar South chapter has converged with all party Ward Executives in the Council to chat a way forward after the Party Primaries in the State.

Speaking during the meeting, the party State Secretary, Barr. Bassey Messah described the meeting as a stepping stone in unifying the aggrieved Party members, noting that though the party at the state level has set up a reconciliation committee, the APC in the local level has also decided to take drastic action to resolved issues in the party.

Barr. Bassey, also thanked the Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade for insisting on returning power back to the South, after all other zones had taken turn in Office as Governor.

Also, the APC Chapter Chairman, Pastor Otu Marshall while speaking with reporters, said that the Party felt the need to ensure that aggrieved members meet with the Party to expressed their grievances for reconciliation to take place.

Speaking also, the Leader Calabar South of the party, Hon. Asuquo Ekpenyong, while noting that the problem within the party is half solved, he expressed delight over the problems identified, also thanking the party for identifying with aggrieved members, believing that all will be aligned to deliver the party come 2023.

The meeting had speakers from all the 12 wards in Calabar South Local Government of the party, taking turns shared their challenges, hoping that party will take a proactive measure to resolve them.


Major concerns were the Ongoing Voter Registration for Permanent Voter Card (PVC) and Communication within Excos and members.

Presents at the events were Rt. Hon. Ntufam Joseph, Deputy Speakers, Cross River State and candidates for the House of Representative, Hon. Effiong Ekarika, Comr. Victor Nsa among other Party Leaders from the Local Government.
