CAF AWARD: Mane, Oshoala Wins.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday in Rabat, Morocco named Senegal Striker, Sadio Mane as the Men’s Footballer of the year while Nigeria Super Falcons Striker, Osisat Oshoala also emerged as the Women’s Footballer of the year.

The Senegalese Striker came tops above fellow country man Edouard Mendy and former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.

Mane’s award is his second consecutive, after he led his country to their first continental title, consecutive World Cup appearance and playing a key role in his former club, Liverpool, finished second in the English Premier League.

Super Falcons Striker, Osisat Oshoala became the first ever African Footballer to win a record 5th award.

Oshoala beat Cameroonian Ajara Nchout Njoya and new entrant Grace Chanda of Zambia.

She is the fourth Nigerian woman to win the most priced continental football award in Africa after Mercy Akide (2001), Nkwocha (2004, 2005, 2010 & 2011) and Cynthia Uwak (2006 & 2007).
