The management of College of Nursing Science, Itigid, Cross River State has dismissed report making rounds on social media  concerning extortion of moneys by College of Nursing Sciences.

In a statement signed by the college Provost Mrs Ruth Ekong stated that the College Management having observe with dismay the high level of doubling thereby falsifying amounts of money validly requested of the students to their parents.

Mrs Ekong while noting that the Nursing Education is regulated by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria; said the activities mentioned in a report published by a newspaper (Not this paper) such as indexing, final qualifying examination, and other NMCN activities are charged and paid directly into NMCN.

She also stated that CRS colleges charge the least fees as compared to other States whose fees are three times in increasement.

The Provost, however, debunked the publication as being false, unfounded and its intention to tarnish the image of the college, warning it to be properly guided in its investigation to avoid litigation for libel and slander.
