The Cross River State Government has issued a stern warning against unauthorized gatherings of any kind as Intelligence reports indicate that certain individuals are plotting to incite chaos within the state.

In press released signed by the state security adviser, O. U. Obono, dated Friday, January 24, 2025, states that there are plans by some elements to perpetrate mayhem within the state under the guise of Nkot Mbok.

The government specifically cautions the organizers of the “Nkot Mbok” event to suspend their planned activities immediately. Failure to comply will attract the full weight of the law, as stipulated in the relevant legal provisions.

Residents of the state are urged to maintain peace and cooperate with authorities to safeguard the state’s security.
