C’River: INEC takes delivery of sensitive materials for Saturday’s re-run polls

Professor Gabriel Yomere, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of INEC in Cross River led a team of stakeholders while displaying sensitive materials today at the premises of INEC office in Calabar.

The INEC REC said the Commission in the state took delivery of the sensitive materials yesterday ahead of Saturday’s re-run polls for the State and Federal Constituencies election.

The Parchment had reported that elections will take place in 34 Polling Units across Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, Obanliku and Yala lI State Constituencies in Cross River State.

The delivery of the materials was witnessed by the representatives of INEC and stakeholders including; party agents, security agents, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and journalists.

INEC had scheduled Saturday, February 3, 2024 for the re-run in line with the court order.
