Officials of Tourism Volunteers Network, Cross River State Chapter led by their State coordinator Mr. Bassey Nton have paid a courtesy visit on the Honourable commissioner for Tourism,Arts and Culture in Cross River State, Honourable Chief. Robert Abubakar Ewa to seek partnership with his ministry for tourism drive in the state.

Addressing the delegation, the commissioner revealed Government’s effort to further develop the tourism sector of the State, established that Cross River State is blessed with the highest number of tour sites that are rich in tourism contents which is why the Government of His Excellency Sen.Prince Bassey Edet Otu is passionate about building a viable tourism sector especially with the introduction of eco-tourism for increase of traffic and economic activities in the State that will engender wealth creation for Cross Riverians.

Also speaking to the volunteers, the director of Tourism in the ministry, Mr. Daniel Akeke hailed them for their interest in tourism development and advised them to be good tourism ambassadors of the State.

In conclusion the commissioner assured the volunteers of the ministry readiness for partnership with them to achieve excellence in tourism drive, which must be in line with Governor Bassey Otu’s vision for the tourism industry of Cross River State.
