Ewa Advocate For Unity Compliance In This Year’s Leboku International Festival

As part of this administration’s agenda to grow tourism and cultural activities for enhancement of unity and economic development in the State, The Honourable commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon Chief. Ewa Robert Abubakar has advocated  for a unified Leboku International festival this year where all Yakurr communities will come together and be participants, stating that Leboku is an international event that was built on the foundation of unity for all Yakurr communities.

The commissioner made the advocacy while addressing the organizers of the Leboku pageantry, Mr. Obono Great’ the Chief Executive Officer of Euphoria Africa, and his team who were in his office on a courtesy visit to familiarize with the ministry and seek partnership for the achievement of a successful Leboku festival this year. The tourism commissioner expressed dissatisfaction at the debase in standard that was witnessed at Leboku International festival last year which must be improved on this year, while he reiterated that Yakurr has a rich and unique culture that needs to be sustained, and as such there is need for spread of partnership between Ugep and other Yakurr communities during the Leboku festival.

Also the director of culture in the ministry, Mr. Akeke Daniel sued  for a a peaceful and well coordinated pageantry contest where all contestants will be treated with fairness. He assured the organizing team of synergy between the ministry and their organization for the achievement of a credible and excellent festival this year.

Those present at the meeting were the Honourable Commissioner for Tourism,Arts and Culture, Directors of the ministry, the CEO of Euphoria Africa and his team.
