The Lagos State University of Nigerian and Kenyatta University from Kenya shared the spoils at the LASU football pitch on Sunday in a thrilling 1-1 match that had some exciting brilliance.

The defending champions Kenyatta University from Kenya could not show dominance but had to contain the LASU boys in the first game of the opening day in group A.

Meanwhile, University of Lagos of Nigeria and the University for Development Studies of Ghana emerged victorious with a 1-0.

UNILAG almost got the lead through penalty but was denied as Omotosho Doyinsola was unable to convert from the spot.

George Renchi goal in 92nd minute separated both sides giving University for Development Studies of Ghana the edge.
