The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi, Prof. Leo Daniel has disclosed that the University is positioned to partner credible investors and partners to establish Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Centre in the University to aide in Innovative Teaching and Learning for Lecturers and Students which will improve their problem-solving skills and Technological Discoveries as well as to gain insightful perspectives in fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM).

The Vice Chancellor made the remarks on behalf of the University while receiving in audience a Team from BredHub-UBTECH Educational Services; a global AI and Robotic Technology Instructors and Investors who were at the Temporary Site of the University for their presentation and pitching. He stressed that the University is Technology oriented and is committed to padding her curriculum with other relevant components that will boost the teaching methods and learning outcomes for Lecturers and Students towards national development.

This is on the heels of the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics as part of Universities’ academic curricula which will serve as the major driver to effective preparation of our students and Lecturers for the growing and evolving technological world.

Upon the establishment, the AI and Robotics Hub will serve as an E-Learning, Resource and Research Centre for Lecturers, Students, Researchers and Government Agencies; stimulating innovations, inventions, Service-Provider and Technological Transfer for human and national development.
