The three senators, Stephen Odey (North), Sandy One (Central) and Gershom Bassey (South) were all present at the floor of the senate.

Although Senators Bassey and Sandy are of the People’s Democratic Party, Stephen Odey is yet to make it public, if he will be defecting to the APC.

But yesterday, when senators voted on what method to transmit results in subsequent elections. Sen. Stephen Odey voted against, while two others from the state voted in support.

Many Cross Riverians have come out to conderm Mr. Odey who’s election into the senate is still under serious contention by Agom Jarigbe, a member of the house of representatives for Ogoja/Yala federal constituency.

The action of Mr Odey has been viewed as one that will take the electoral process in the country many years backwards.
