The Cross River State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), His youthfulness Obol Comr. Emmanuel Olayi today enjoyed the presence of youths of Cross River State, the political class, appointees of Government, royal fathers, academia’s and business men who joined him in his thanksgiving service at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church Alumoye Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Comr. Emmanuel Olayi who expressed deep appreciation to God for aiding his emergence as State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria In Cross River State, declared that his victory at the election was divinely fashioned by God, as himself had no ability or resources to earn his victory through human effort.

During the reception, the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Zana Akpagu who was chairman of the occasion, described Comr. Olayi as a young man that is humble, Industrious and intentional about success, charged the royal fathers and the entire Bekwarra community to continue praying for his success and offer him the necessary support as their son.

Obol Comr.Emmanuel Olayi further appraised his dear wife Happiness Emmanuel Olayi and the entire family members for their tremendous support to his growth. He established that the mandate given to him to lead the youths of Cross River State is a mandate of the people which he will treat with outmost precedence by ensuring the welfare and development of Cross River State youths, especially now that the council would be running an administration of inclusivity that will add value to the council and boost it from it present level to an entrepreneurial level that will enable young people make wealth to develop themselves and the State.
Part of the thanksgiving activities were organizing of a free Medical Outreach, unveiling of the signage post he built for the primary school in his community and giving support to the ongoing church building project.
Dignitaries present at the event were Royal fathers of Bekwarra Local Government Area, Prof. Zana Akpagu, former Vice Chancellor of the university of Calabar, Hon. Chief Peter Akpanke Member representing Obanliku, Bekwarra and Obudu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly represented by Hon. Ignatius Adida Agabi, Rt Hon.Legor Idagbo, former Member representing Bekwarra, Obudu and Obanliku Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Charles C. Omang, Member representing Bekwarra State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Dr. John Owan Member Governing Council of the University of Calabar, Alhaji zake Abdul, Leader of Hausa-Fulani Youths in Cross River State, leaders of Igbo Community, Executive and members of NYCN across the State.
In conclusion, Obol Olayi appreciated his guest and family for accompanying him to thank God In church and also supporting his contributions towards the Church building project, also prayed for God’s blessings upon their lives and families.
