How Cross River State Anti Cultism/Kidnapping Unit Arrested Notorious Armed Robber And Serial Killer In Calabar.

Notorious armed robber and serial killer, popular known as Malachi was arrested by operatives of the Anti cultism/kidnapping unit of the Nigerian police squad Cross River State command, this paper can report authoritatively.

The notorious criminal who according to reports, has killed over 30 persons especially POS operators, is from Use Nten in Ibiono LGA of Akwa Ibom State.

Contrary to earlier report speculated by some online blogs that the notorious kingpin was arrested by men of the same unit from Akwa Ibom State. Investigation by this paper reveals that operatives of the dreaded police Special Unit in Cross River State actually arrested the kingpin and handed him over to their counterparts in Akwa Ibom.


The Anti Cultism/Kidnaping unit, cting on credible intelligence were informed that Malachi who fled Akwa Ibom for fear of arrested by security operatives had arrived Calabar with another of his unnamed friend who is based in Abia State.

The mission, according to reliable security source, was to recruit young people into their criminal trade as well as plan for more deadly attacks, targeting majorly police formations.

Highly reliable security sources say, Malachi then alerted some of his friends that he was on his way to Ikang in Bakassi local government area of Cross River State, having procured two riffles with twenty four rounds of live ammunition. Their initial plan was to attack security checkpoints across the two states including his village, Use Nten, in Ibiono local government area of Akwa Ibom State. He then sort the cooperation of his friends to help monitor the checkpoints in his village.

He also informed some of them to meet him at Ikang, in Bakassi LGA to further plan other attacks.

Operatives of Operation Dragon, acting on clear intelligence, then swung into action and arrested Malachi and another, identified simply as Wisdom, at one of the militant camps within the creeks of Esuk Mba, in Bakassi LGA after a gun duel.

The Akwa Ibom state command of the Nigerian police was then contacted and Malachi and his accomplice was handed over to the officer incharge of SWAT, One CSP Julian.

Malachi has been on the wanted list of the Nigerian police for awhile for several killings across Akwa Ibom State.
