How CRS Lawmaker, Elizabeth Ironbar Died, Colleagues Pay Tribute.

Tributes have started pouring in over the death of the state lawmaker, Hon. Elizabeth Ironbar.

The lawmaker who until her death late tuesday, was representing for a second term, Akpabuyo state constituency in the Cross River State House of assembly.
Late Ironbar who was also a one time Secretary of the council was said to have died of an undisclosed sickness.

The Parchment gathered from reliable source that the late lawmaker who has been sick for awhile had recovered and was ready to resume her legislative assignment when she suddenly died.

“We were all happy with the way she was recovering. We had expected that she will resume work very soon. Before we realized, it was death.” a close family source said.

Colleagues React

Meanwhile, tributes have continued to pour in from some colleagues of the late Hon. Ironbar. Member representing Bakassi State constituency, Dr. Ekpo Ekpo described the death of the late lawmaker as “a colossal lost to the entire house”

According to Dr. Ekpo “its been a very devastating issue. I’ve been in deep shock since I heard the news. Actually, it’s a black day for me and a lost to all of us. She was one of the very dynamic and vibrant representative we had in the house. It’s not about the good things people say when people die, but the truth is that she was very vibrant. Unfortunately we cannot turn back the hand of the clock. May his soul rest in peace”

Also, a one time member of the house of representatives, Dr. Patrick Ene-Okon expressed shock at the demise of Mrs Ironbark, saying that she was a close friend.

Dr. Ene-Okon who is also a former Chairman of Akpabuyo local government council said the lose was a personal one because of his closeness to the late lawmaker.
