How Hoodlums Attacked House Of Rep’s Aspirant, Lady Emana Duke In Akpabuyo. Identity Of Hoodlums Revealed.

Hoodlums who attacked a major contender for Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar South Federal House of Representatives, Lady Emana Duke Amawhe originally planned to abduct her to unknown location. This paper can authoritatively report.

The attack, suspected to be instigated by political opponents of Lady Emana is coming days after major political associates of Rt. Hon. Essien Ayi dumped him and throw their weight behind the veteran television broadcast journalist.


The “Nda Ye Emana” political campaign team was attacked on Friday in Akpabuyo where the aspirant had gone to consult with the PDP leadership and orther stakeholders of the LGA.

Machetes-wielding hoodlums numbering over 30 had attacked the aspirants and her entourage soon after the director general of her campaign organization, Mr. Francis Etang announced a cash donation for their host.


A source who spoke with our reporter identified some of the attackers as ‘boys’ of a senor legislative aide to a serving house of representatives member.

The attack happened at the Akpabuyo PDP Secretariat in Ikot Ekpri Ene.

Sources say several Millions in cash was carted away from Lady Emana. The hoodlums also snatched phones and other valuables from supporters and other guest at the event.

Leader of the hoodlums, identified as Okon Umoh afterwards led over 20 others hoodlums to surround Lady Emana ostensibly to abduct her.
“But when they noticed her refusal to panic and the resilience of her security officers and supports, they took the money in the car and ran away. If Emana had panic and run, then they would have abduct her easily which was their original plan” a source told The Parchment.

Meanwhile, identities of the hoodlums have been unraveled, below are names of some of them. They are;
Umoh Okon (leader) Okon Ediye aka Affia Ekpo of Ekpene Ikot Eyo, Eyo Maurice Eyo Edem of Ikot Eyo, Orok Bassey.
