“I am Not The APC Candidate, Forgive Me For Making Wrong Post” – Man Who Goes By The Name ‘Prince Otu’ Begs.

By Our Reporter

A facebook user who goes by the name ‘Prince Otu’ has openly apologized for spreading ethnic posts regarding the 2023 election in Crosse River State.

The facebook user had come under heavy criticism from social media users after he made disparaging statement against some sections of the State.

The statement was assumed to have emanated from the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu by so many Cross Riverians.

But in a public apology made on his social media page, Mr. Prince Otu said “My statement about Southern Extraction had nothing to do with Distinguished Senator Prince Otu (APC Gubernatorial Candidate). The statement was directed towards injustice I perceived”

In another post he said “Apologies for what I posted early.. I am not a tribal fellow but I just felt injustice is not the way to go. Please let no one redirect my statement wrongly”

Mr. Otu who sent out the apologies late Saturday evening, also called on Cross Riverians to unite despite political party affiliation. “Cross River State is one irrespective of party affiliations. Let Love lead.”

As the 2023 general election approaches, social media space in Cross River State continues to be heavily occupied with several political supporters taking advantage of the media space to out-do one another in support of their preferred candidate.
