The University of Uyo, has announced a three in one convocation ceremonies comprising the 26th, 27th & 28th in the series, scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2023.

The University Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Nyaudo Ndaeyo disclosed this on Monday at the Council Chamber during the Press Briefing which provided elaborate information to herald the institution’s most-celebrated convocation event.

The Vice Chancellor hinted that, this year’s convocation is the first to be conducted since his assumption of office as the 8th Vice-Chancellor of the University, stating also that the Convocation which registers a total of 14,866 graduands consisting of 2,672 post-graduates, 11,795 under-graduates, 318 diploma graduates and 81 certificate programmes across all degree programmes.

He said that the 2017/2018 session produced 49 students with First Class honours, while the 2018/2019 session produced 37 and 2019/2020 produced 50.

Ndaeyo added that honorary degrees of the university would be conferred on three eminent Nigerians during the ceremony.

He listed the honourees to include: the former Nigeria’s Number One Super Eagles goalkeeper, Mr Vincent Philip Enyeama; a philanthropist and Advisor to Inoyo Toro Foundation, Barrister Udom Inoyo; and a political diplomat, Senator Daisy Ehanire Theophilus Danjuma.
