Odukpani Chair, Justina Edem Advocates For Peace In Cross River, As Husband Is Inducted Obong Ekpe.

The Chairman of Odukpani local government area, Hon. Justina Edem has called on Cross Riverians to continue to pray for peace and progress of the state as we prepare to usher in the new year.

Hon. Justina made the statement at the official induction of her husband, Chief Joseph Edem as Obong Ekpe by Efe Ekpe Iboku Utan Eyamba in Calabar on thursday, December 30.
She called on all Cross Riverians to continue to pray for the state governor, Ben Ayade to finish strong.

On the need to maintain political peace on Odukpani, Hon. Justina said, “Today, it is the work that finds the leader, it is not the leader that finds the work. Odukpni people are born leaders. We must try and make sure that there is peace everywhere because that is very important.

“we are grateful to our digital governor for making the state very peaceful for everyone to have a good celebration, and we believe that it will continue this way as we get into 2022 and beyond”

Meanwhile, a frontline non profit organization in Odukpani local government area, Association of Concerned Indigenes of Okoyong Community, ACIOC, has also paid the Chairman a courtesy visit at her residence in Calabar and presented her with a giant portrait.

A similar presentation was also made to Chief Joseph Edem, the council chairman’s husband.

President of the association, Pastor Effiong Ekpo who described Hon. Justina Edem as the White Queen of Okoyong, extolled the leadership qualities of the council chairman in restoring peace in Okoyong nation and the entire Odukpani in general.

“ That is why we are here to make this presentation to you and to encourage you to do more for Okoyong nation and the entire Odukpani local government” pastor Ekpo said.

Responding, the chairman, Hon. Justina Edem appreciated the group for the good work they have been doing and prayed that the peace that the local council is currently enjoying will continue into 2022 and beyond.
