The Executive Chairman of Odukpani Local Government Council, Hon. Amb. (Mrs) Justina Edem, has bagged award as one of the most performing local government council Chairmen in Nigeria.
Hon. Justina Eden emerged as one of the recipients of the Nigeria Local Government Development Awards for her sterling leadership qualities and many innovative and intervention assistance, in an elaborate event held in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Odukpani local government boss was nominated alongside a few chairmen in Cross River State for the national award which was held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.
Sen. George Akume, Minister, Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, said the event was organized for the 774 Local Government Councils and Development Areas in Nigeria to Spur Local Government Councils for optimal performance.
The award was witnessed by top government functionaries including the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, the Senate and House Committee Chairmen for Local Government and Inter Governmental Affairs omg others.
In here remark, the Odukpani chairman commended the federal ministry for the award while pledging to work more for the good of humanity.
Dedicating the award to the good people of Odukpani and her teeming supporters, Hon. Justina Edem expressed her gratitude to the Cross River State governor, Sen. Ben Ayade for giving her the platform to contribute her quota to the growth and development of Odukpani local government and by extension Cross River State.
