Officer Of Cross River State Anti Cultism/Kidnapping Shoot, Kill Calabar South APC Youth Leader.

Officers of the state Anticultism/kidnapping team of the Nigerian Police, Cross River State command, have shot and killed a youth in Calabar south.

The victim, one Emmanuel Joseph Ufot was brutally shot and killed at the premises of the cultural center, Calabar where the APC primary election for Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar south federal constituency election was taking place.

Several sources who confirmed the incident to The Parchment said that the late Emmanuel Joseph was shot at close range on the chest while he made attempt to pick his car. “the killing was completely unprovoked, he was not armed, he did not make trouble. He was just going to pick his car” an eye witness told our reporter.

To hide evidence, the killer police officials then made away with his corpse and used sand to cover blood stains on the floor.

According to an eye witness, “ we were standing together and he told me he wanted to pick his car where he parked it. While trying to used the field, the officer asked him where he was going and he explained, the next thing that happened was that the officer pointed a gun directly at him and pulled the trigger, he shot him about three times on the chest and all of us just took to our heels”

When our reporter visited the scene, a lady was seen crying uncontrollably. The deceased, a father of two is said to have been an expectant father.

This is not the first time trigger happy officials of the state anticultism/kidnaping team have been accused of extra judicial killing, torture and extortion.

The police is yet to make official statement on the matter.
