Over 100 Support Group To Receive Sen. Prince Otu As He Arrives Calabar On Tuesday.

Barring any last minute change, the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu will arrive Calabar the Cross River State capital on Tuesday. This paper can report.

It will be the fist time Sen. Otu will be arriving the state capital after he was unanimously adopted as his party’s consensus candidate for the 2023 governorship election.

Popularly called Sweet Prince by his supporters and admirers, Sen. Otu represented Cross River southern senatorial district at the upper chambers of the national assembly between 2011 and 2015, after serving two tenures, representing Calabar municipality/Odukpani federal constituency at the house of representatives between 2003 and 2011.

His choice as the consensus candidate of the APC has been widely applauded by several Cross Riverians within and outside the state, with many commending the state governor, Ben Ayade and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the state for making the right choice.

Already, over 100 support groups are set to receive the Sweet Prince. Prominent among includes, Friends of Prince Otu, Prince is Coming, No Vacancy Group, Fusion 196, Yes Prince, Iroko family and many others.

Media aide to Sen. Otu, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba, confirmed to our reporter “yes, the distinguished senator Bassey Otu will be in town on Tuesday. Don’t forget this will be the first time he will be arriving Calabar after he was nominated as the consensus candidate of APC. So we are all set to give him the biggest reception ever. Already, over 100 support groups have come together to show their support and receive him as he arrives” he said.

Senator Otu’s nomination as the APC consensus candidate is seen as the best decision taken to enhance the party’s victory at the forthcoming elections in 2023.
