A Former Cross River State Commissioner for Lands, Arc. Bassey Ndem is set to dump the People’s Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress. The Parchment can report.
The Politician will be formally received into the APC fold on Thursday, December, 16 by the party leadership in the state. A highly placed APC official told our reporter.
Arc Ndem, has been one of the leaders of the PDP in the state since its inception in 1998. He is also the caucus leader of the PDP in his Akpabuyo local government area.
As one of the key actors in the Donald Duke administration, Arc Ndem played critical roles in repositioning the state as a destination of choice. He later served as Managing Director of one of the state’s tourism frontiers, Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort.
Among those who will be decamping alongside, Arc Ndem is Barr. Edem Ekong, another PDP leader who was incharge of the Department of Public Transportation, DOPT during the Imoke administration.
Barr. Ekong’s commitment and innovative leadership earned the state public transportation sector agency wide respect and acceptability across the state.
After the successful election of the APC state exco, the party has continued to gain more ground as the Alphonsus Eba led exco continues to lure more big names into its fold.
The news of Arc Ndem is perhaps one of the biggest to hit the PDP after Governor Ayade dumped the umbrella party for the APC in May this year.
