Newly elected national woman leader of the People’s Democratic Party at the just concluded party convention, Prof. Stella Attoe has expressed confidence that the PDP will reclaim the state come 2023.
The new PDP national woman leader who spoke in an exclusive interview with The Parchment soon after she was elected said her priority will be to ensure women are taken more seriously in party politics and not just mere cheer leaders.
“I tell our women that they must go beyond just clapping for political leaders and big candidates when they visit to actually taking up leadership roles. And that is what I want to do. I want to encourage women to aspire to take up political positions in party and in government”
On the fortunes of the party come 2023, Prof. Attoe maintained that PDP is still strongly rooted in Cross River State.” PDP is coming back to take over Cross River State come 2023, the people love PDP. The governor himself was elected twice under the platform of PDP I have no worry that we will take over the state come 2023”
She advised women in politics to maintain high moral integrity while playing politics.
