Super Eagles and Orlando Pirates Defender, Olisah Ndah has congratulated Rivers United for wining 2021/2022 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Ndah, who also won the League title with Akwa United in the 2020/2021 NPFL season, expressed joy over the largeness extended to Rivers United by the River State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
“The gifts to the team is a good motivation and will help attract good players and bring quality to the team”
When asked about the announcement of N100m by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, when Akwa United, his former team won the title, Ndah said, he has not heard any thing from the team management and had since moved on.
“I have friends in Akwa United and I speak regularly with them. The Club Chairman, Mr Paul Bassey is a good and honest man, I believe that when such funds is release to the team, every member will be contacted”.
Ndah, who has played for the Nigeria U23 squad at the U23 AFCON in Egypt in 2019, won the Nigeria league title with Uyo darlings, Akwa United FC before moving to the Rainbow Nation.
Orlando Pirates Defender, Ndah, speaking ahead of the new season with his club, express hope of wining trophies as his manager Jose Riveiro is working hard with the team in the preseason buildup.
“Last season, was not the best season for me but I can say for a fact that we had a decent one, hoping that this season will be different”
Orlando Pirates will begin their 2022/2023 Football League Campaign at home with Sallows FC on August 6, 2022.
They lost 2021-22 Caf Confederation Cup trophy to RS Berkane at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, finishing 6th in the South Africa Premier League.
