APC has shown a knack for sporting and making use of young talents all over the country. One of the youngest of the 847 candidates vying to be elected members of the 36 States Houses of Assemblies in the country is Cyril James Omini.
States Houses of Assemblies are constitutionally empowered to make laws and exercise oversight jurisdiction over the executive branches of government in the States of the country.
The Cross River State House of Assembly was established in 1979. There are 10, 231 candidates vying for 993 State Assembly seats in the country.
Cyril Omini is the APC candidate for the Yakurr One State Constituency of Cross River State in the State House of Assembly scheduled for 11 March 2023.
Cyril James Omini is just 29 years old. He is single. He is dashing, charismatic, and a political whiz kid. Credit must go to Governor Ben Ayade who spotted and appointed him one of his Special Assistants on Security in 2019.
Undoubtedly, he is hugely popular in Cross River State, especially in his Yakurr Local Government Area. Young people are simply enthusiastic and crazy about his candidacy.
Cyril Omini was born into a catholic family. His father, Sir James Omini Ubi is a retired civil service and a member of the prestigious catholic knighthood of St John. Certainly, he is a huge asset to APC, particularly among young people that constitute a majority of the voting population in his constituency.
He attended Catholic Primary(Madonna Montessori Nursery School, Calabar) and Secondary School (Immaculata Conception Seminary Mfamosing, Calabar). He also attended Constanta Maritime University, in Romania.
He helped stabilize the security situation in Yakurr Local Government Area while serving as Special Assistant to Governor Ayade on security matters. He is hardworking and industrious.
