The University of Calabar Management has recalled a student in the Department of Library Science, Otu Ime Monday with the Matriculation Number 19/064344117 from suspension.

In press release by the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, indicates that Otu Ime was earlier placed on suspension from studies for flouting Management’s directive banning the position of “Class Representative” in the University of Calabar. 

According to the release, “the University Senate at its 241 Meeting held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 has approved his recall from suspension. 

“To this end, Mr Otu Ime Monday is by this letter directed to resume his academic programme in the University of Calabar with effect from the Second Semester of the 2023/2024 academic session. 

“Also, by the copy of this letter, the Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Science Education and Head, Department of Library Science are being informed to ensure full compliance with the decision of Senate in this regard.” The statement added
