The University of Calabar Management has recalled Obora Freedom Julius of the Department of Physics from suspension and strongly advised him to desist from all forms of malpractice.

The recall as was conveyed in a memo signed by the University Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Chukwuka Icha, states that the University Senate, at its 245th meeting, considered a passionate appeal for the reversal of the disciplinary actions against some students.

The appeal which was submitted by the Leadership of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) on behalf of the students, concerns  issues related to results manipulation.

The memo indicates that the Senate, after extensive deliberation on the issue, decided that the student- Obiora Freedom Julius- be recalled from suspension with effect from the academic session in which the offence was committed.

According to the memo, the decision was made in consideration of the appeal from the Leadership of the Students’ Union.

The memo also indicates that the student has been warned against all forms of malpractice, as any further misconduct will lead to his expulsion from the university.
