WAEC releases 2022 results

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has released the results of the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, (WASSCE).

WAEC’s Head of National Office, Patrick Areghan made the disclosure today while speaking at a media briefing.
According to him, the results were released 45 days after the last paper.

Areghan said that out of 1.6million candidates, 800,055 are males, comprising (49.76%) while 800,724 are females, comprising (50.24%).

76.36% of the candidates obtained Credits and above in English Language and Mathematics while 88.04% made Credits and above in a minimum of five subjects with or without English Language and Mathematics.



The candidates were examined in 76 subjects, made up of 197 papers. About 30,000 practicing senior teachers, nominated by various Ministries of Education participated in the examination as supervisors.

The release of the 2022 WASSCE results will help candidates who applied for admission in 2022/2023 academic session into tertiary institutions in Nigeria through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
