Lawyer and close ally of Senator Prince Bassey Otu have responded to a fallacious allegation made against Sen. Prince Otu by one unknown David Takon.
Mr. Takon made several disparaging remarks against the person of the distinguished senator under the auspices of PDP Youth Vanguard and published by a local news blog (Not The Parchment)
The attack on the former lawmaker popularly called “Sweet Prince” is coming few days after the distinguished senator called on Cross Riverians to rally around and show support to the state governor, Prof. Ben Ayade as judgement on the governor’s defection draws near.

Why Are They Afraid Of Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu
Yesterday Cross Riverians were rudely awaken to an amateur write up, laden with several grammatical errors and poor punctuations and published by and equally unprofessional and juvenile news site, Calabar Blog.
The faceless writer, a pitiably poor actor of a script written by his coward pay masters failed to understand that his slave masters are the ones perfectly pictured in that write up.
The popularity of Prince Otu is never and will never be in doubt. The people named him the “Sweet Prince” because of his landmark legislation, empowerments, philanthropy and scorecard while in the Green and Red Chambers.
The outright falsehood and blackmail employed by this faceless marauders only shows how deep a threat Senator Prince Otu is to the sponsors.
These men know that Sweet Prince is a man of grace. For a man who has been out of political office yet so very relevant and loved by his people to cause ripples and deep fears to a camp of desperate individuals speaks volumes.
This campaign of calumny on Sweet Prince only shows the desperation of the faceless sponsors. Cross Riverians are aware of the unprecedented and selfless humanitarianism, benevolence, empowerment, scholarships and the numerous achievements of Senator Otu and their attempt to ridicule him has made him even more popular.
We call for an end to this Campaign of calumny and invite the faceless sponsors to an open debate.
The Sweet Prince is sound and healthy
