UNICAL gets new  acting director of pre-degree programme

The University of Calabar Vice Chancellor, Prof. Florence Obi has approved the appointment of Dr. Virginia Ironbar as acting Director of Pre-degree Programme of the institution.

A press release signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe indicates that the appointment is for a period of two (2) years in the first instance and takes effect from January 19, 2024.

The Vice Chancellor, according to the release, charged her to bring her wealth of experience to bear in the administration of the office, as well as, liaise with her predecessor for a smooth handing and taking over.

The release also noted that the conditions of service applicable to the appointment are the same with that of other officers holding similar positions in the institution.

Until her recent appointment, Dr Virginia Ironbar was the Deputy Director, Quality Assurance in the University of Calabar.
